Here's a little something to help you convince your boss to let you attend the USPTA World Conference on Tennis
Please note: We’ve included some suggestions for those of you who work in a laid-back environment, or are self-employed/independent contractors and may have a different kind of “boss” to convince, so pick wisely!
[Dear / Hey / My dearest darling]
[insert your Boss' name],
You might have heard me mention this before [at the club / over lunch at Subway / while I was cooking your favorite meal]. I would like to attend the USPTA World Conference on Tennis in La Quinta, Calif., from Sept. 27-Oct. 2.
The USPTA World Conference is run by the United States Professional Tennis Association, which means I'll be learning from [some of the top tennis teachers in the industry / those people you hear me talk about all the time while you are trying to watch [insert spouse's favorite TV show] ].
The USPTA World Conference is much more than tennis and a trade show (although both are great!); it’s the premier educational event for the tennis industry. There are more than 30 classes on everything from teaching and facility management to sport science and professional development.
With so many learning possibilities, this is a perfect opportunity for me to hone my skills so I can [practice better business techniques / come up with fresh, new programming ideas / create more excitement around lessons with new drills and games / maximize my earning potential / bring more business into our club / develop new methods to motivate students at every level / take our kid to the next level in her tennis game].
Plus, while the registration for a USPTA member is a one-time cost of $325 (if I register by Aug. 21), [ the lessons learned are priceless. / it's La Quinta! We can make it a relaxing, family vacation]!
I'll save up to $100 when I register by Aug. 21 and every conference attendee gets an exclusive 80+ page notebook with the speaker notes from every class [that I can bring back to share / so I can check in with you at the pool if you want me to and share what I’ve learned].
If you would like to see the list of classes, extra specialty courses, and list of speakers, please visit the USPTA World Conference Web site at www.USPTAWorldConference.com.
[Thanks for your time and I hope to discuss this with you soon. / Do this for me and I promise to be extra nice to your mother when she asks for a free tennis lesson].
[Sincerely, / You ROCK! / Love you!]
